Increased connectability to component products, with the addition of a Serial Gateway, No-protocol and Standard System Protocols, and existing Host Link-compatible Device Selection functions

• The Serial Gateway enables components or PLCs that had been connected using protocol macros to be accessed from PTs or Support Software via a FINS network.

• Baud rate increased from 38,400 bps to 57,600 bps for faster communications.

• No-protocol communications supported for Serial Communications Units and Serial Communications Boards.

• Reusing host computer application programs written for C-series and CVM1/CV-series PLCs has been facilitated by supporting 1:1 Host Links and response frame lengths for read commands for different PLC models.
