Application Examples |
Conforms to International Standards
The E5zK conforms to EMC (EN50081-2 and EN50082-2), and to EN61010-1, as well as to UL and CSA, safety standards. Refer to OMRON’s declaration of conformity for these standards. The E5zK is thus ideal for machines sold or used in Europe.
Heat/Cool Control
Standard control (heating or cooling control) and Heat/Cool control functions can be easily switched. For example, a single Controller can be used with an extrusion molding machine for heater controls or heating and air-cooling controls.
Watertight
The E5zK
meets the requirements of NEMA4 (or IP66) and can be used in places with water
spray or powder. The E5zK can be used without a
watertight cover for food processing applications, thus saving installation
costs.
Humidity and Pressure Control
Besides temperature input, the E5zK
accepts linear input with high-speed (100 ms) sampling. Also, combination with
various sensors allows analog control of humidity, pressure, and other
variables. The E5zK satisfies compact controller
needs.
Communications Functions
The compact E5CK’s RS-232C and RS-485 communications functions enable
direct connection to programmable controllers. The E5AK and E5EK provide not
only RS-232C and RS-485 communications functions, but also RS-422 and transfer
output/remote input functions thus enabling data communications with A/D units
of programmable controllers.
