Why
ZUV UV LED Irradiator?
With lamp
irradiators, lamp temperatures that reach up to 80°C during the
curing process can cause heat damage to components. Controllers are
too large for facilities that must be downsized to match
increasingly compact products. And the cost of lamp replacement and
electricity is high. Operating ease is also a problem with
conventional models.
The super-compact OMRON ZUV Series UV LED Irradiator solves
problems such as these that arise at manufacturing sites. The ZUV
enables high-precision bonding without causing heat damage to
components. At 1/8 the size of conventional lamp irradiators, it is
the smallest in the world. Running costs are reduced by 90% or more
by using long-life LEDs. Furthermore, it is suitable for high volume
production operation.
Benefits of Using
ZUV UV LED Irradiator

Reducing
Heat Damage
|

|
High-power 365-nm UV-LED
used as light source.
In contrast to lamp
irradiation, the light is clear and free from the
infrared light found with rising temperatures. This
enables high-precision adhesion with minimal damage to
components.

Reducing
Running Costs
|
|
|
Running costs are reduced
tremendously by using an LED system instead of a lamp
irradiator. LEDs with a long life of 10,000 hours are
used. Furthermore, the irradiation is controlled so it
is used only when required, which extends the life time
by 10 times. The cost for electricity and lamp
replacement of 4 or 5 times per year is also greatly
reduced.

Space-saving Size
|
|
|
Lamp irradiators are
mainly large and take up a lot of space. Considerable
efforts have gone into downsizing the ZUV, resulting in
the world's smallest controller (1/8 the size of the
controller for a lamp irradiator).
The super-compact ZUV
Series Irradiator can be used in control panels, cell
production lines, or built-in compact devices.

Super-easy
Operation
|
|
|
The color liquid
crystal display clearly indicates the irradiation
progress, power and remaining time. The irradiation
conditions can be set using the easy-to-use menu
buttons. The user-friendly display combines the
simple operation that prevents operation errors and
help to improve quality. |
