Partnership positions OMRON to support businesses across Asia Pacific in adopting GS1 Standards — enabling smarter, more connected supply chains through advanced automation, 2D barcode decoding, and end-to-end traceability.
SINGAPORE — OMRON Industrial Automation Asia Pacific today announced it has been formally recognised as a GS1 Singapore Solution Partner, joining a growing ecosystem of technology providers committed to enabling the adoption of GS1 Standards across Southeast Asia & Oceania.
GS1 Singapore is the global not-for-profit body whose supply chain standards are used by more than two million companies and scanned over ten billion times daily. As the only organisation in Singapore authorised to issue GS1 Barcodes, GS1 Singapore supports businesses in adopting and implementing these standards locally.
This recognition formalises OMRON’s role in enabling manufacturers and supply chain operators to operationalise GS1 Standards — embedding them directly into production lines, inspection systems, and logistics workflows.
BRINGING GS1 STANDARDS TO LIFE ON THE MANUFACTURING FLOOR
OMRON’s capabilities in sensing, control, robotics, and inspection technology make it a natural fit within the GS1 Solution Partner framework. On the manufacturing line, OMRON’s vision systems and barcode readers support the decoding and verification of 2D barcodes — ensuring that every product leaving the facility carries an accurate, standards-compliant digital identity.
Through this partnership, OMRON will work closely with GS1 Singapore to support member organisations in understanding how GS1 Standards can be operationalised within real-world manufacturing and retail environments, strengthening end-to-end supply chain efficiency and trust.
“Joining GS1 Singapore as a Solution Partner reflects our belief that true supply chain transformation happens on the factory floor. Our automation and sensing technologies are designed to make standards real — turning GS1 identifiers into live, verified data that moves seamlessly across the supply chain. We look forward to working with GS1 Singapore and the broader business community to accelerate the adoption of 2D barcodes and build more transparent, efficient supply chains across Asia Pacific.”
